Chapter One Released!

Hi folks, I'm proud to finally say that chapter one is complete!

This update adds the second half of chapter one of City of Immortals and there's quite a bit to get through. The game now includes:

• A fully functioning stats screen. It works with meters on and off and there's also some added information in case you're looking for some extra reading.
• The beginnings of an in-game glossary. Some passages will lead to an informative explanation on the various  aspects of Wasteland. They are completely optional and shouldn't bother you should you leave them alone.
• Five of the seven love interests for the game's first mc have now been introduced. The final two will be introduced a little later.
• Backstory -- kind of
• A stabbing :)
• And some more fun bits

Anyway, take a look, have a little play, and if you'd like to give some feedback you're more likely to find me on my blog here!

PLEASE RESTART YOUR GAME FROM THE BEGINNING IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ERRORS. Due to many changes to the code this update, if you don't restart the game you may come across errors that say a variable is missing or doesn't exist in your current save file and may impact your ability to continue playing. This is because your last save file didn't have those variables saved and thus for all intents and purposes they don't exist to the code. So please just... restart.

A known issue I can't currently solve is that for fire fox users specifically, or specifically only me, the game didn't retain my save files once I exited out. I could still manually save the files onto my computer but for whatever reason, perhaps my cookie settings, the browser itself didn't remember my saves. I tried on other browsers and found I had no issues there so this might be firefox specific rather than anything else.

If you must play on firefox (I'm too stubborn to move too) you'll need to  save the  file to your disk rather than saving it directly through the game. It's fairly simple, just keep track of your file and put it in a place you'll remember. Mine saved to my downloads folder but I'd suggest moving it from there. To load it back in press the save button and then click load from disk, you should be prompted to select the file you just saved. If you need more of an explanation I'd be happy to post a quick tutorial on it.
